All Difficulties of Difficulty (Forgive, Challenge, Lethal) at House of Ashes

Then, for the first time at The Dark Pictures: Anthology, players can select a difficulty level at the beginning of their game. At first glance, this may seem a bit strange, given that House of Ashes is a game of narrative adventures in which you simply walk, pick up things and, sometimes, you sign up and press a button. But, what if I told you that you could make this experience more difficult or easier?

Well, you have that option with the three levels of difficulty in House of Ashes: Sorry, challenge and lethal. Think of them as easy, normal and difficult. What they do is reduce the time you have to get to the QTE when they appear.

So, if you think that the QTE are too punitive and does not want to fail accidentally and potentially kill people, put it in forgiveness. If you only want the default experience in which you probably reach most of them, but maybe you miss some, put it on challenging. If you Quer for an experience in which you can miss a lot, if not everything, set the difficulty in lethal.

Of course, if you just want to see the world burn, you can always put it on the difficulty you want and fail intentionally.

That s all you need to know All differences in difficulty for House of Ashes. To get more tips, tricks and guides, you can search for Pictures or consult our coverage on House of Ashes more specifically, including our full review.
