6 things I like about the MSI GE76 Raider game laptop
Several months ago, I took a look at the Asus Turf Dash F15 and I left quite impressed. In fact, I did not think anything can beat it in terms of value and performance. We loved it so much that we even offered one, which was the most successful competition of Cog connected. I did not have anything wrong to say about it and I still do not have one. Yet something new happened that now reigns suspicious about laptops game. MSI Ge76 Raider is amazing and is about the best game laptop I knew so far.
Certainly, it’s a dear laptop and a big bastard. It goes without saying that this bad boy targets serious players, but after nearly a month of constant use, I find myself with the opinion that even if it is far from perfect, it’s an excellent investment that PC players should seriously consider.
Here are 6 things that I absolutely like the MSI GE76 Raider:
It’s usually not a good thing when your laptop is thick, heavy and a little painful to Tim Allen. Most seem to prefer larger and thin laptops. I do it too, but I make an exception here. Weighing 6.39 pounds, the MSI Raider is a big boy. It’s a Chunky but incredibly robust and extremely durable game machine. It does not tremble and do not waver during intense games. In terms of design, it has been designed for long play sessions. It has angular hinges of the Raider brand, large cooling openings allowing abundant ventilation and elegant RGB light bar. The light bar and the RGB keyboard backlight can be configured with the SteeElSeries application provided. Needless to say it’s a sexy and heavy-looking beast.
Game portable computers must absolutely have high refresh rates and a good quality screen. Obviously, right? Yet the Raider screen is brilliant. It displays a Full HD screen resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and an incredible refresh rate of 360 Hz. This makes this particular notebook ideal for electronic sports or competition games. Certainly, I find the default brightness settings a little weak, but nothing can be overcome without adjusting some parameters. Anyway, the games seem on the screen and I have never encountered any problems with the refresh rate. I also like the antireflection surface that minimizes the reflections. Supported by the Intel Core i9 HK processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, this laptop game can handle any robust online AAA game that you launch.
The quality of the webcam has been a pleasant surprise. The Raider includes a 1080p webcam, which is rather cool, especially if we consider that most laptops use a 720p camera. Certainly, there is a lack of a confidentiality shutter and other features such as an infrared camera for facial recognition, but I admit that it becomes quite picky. Anyway, it’s a high quality camera, and integrated Audio speakers allow people to speak strong and clear.
The model we examined is a laptop valued at more than US $3,000. It is not cheap at all, but it is equipped with the Intel Core i9-11980HK processor, a 16 GB NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD disk and Windows 10 Home. It therefore contains everything you need to make sure you get the best possible gaming experience. Games like Halo: Infinite and Call of Duty; Vanguard works incredibly well. Graphically demanding Red Dead Redemption 2 and Fora Horizon 5 also work with brilliance. The laptop also excels when it comes to working on a daily basis. I can read YouTube music videos in the background while having multiple open tabs, an open email and typing on a Word document. Whatever you need your laptop, it excels and will probably continue to do it for years.
It is difficult to go back to a keyboard that does not turn on after using the wonderfully lit keypad of the Raider. The backlight is subtle but net. Not to mention the keyboard feels good. Certainly, it took a while to get used to some key locations, but overall, it’s nice to work with. The striking is effortless, and I found it very comfortable. The trackpad is also a good size.
With regard to connectivity, the MSI Raider covers you and more. On the sides of the laptop, you will find three USB 3.2 Gen 1 type-a ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 × 2 Type-C port, a full size SD card reader and an audio combo jack. The back of the happy has your HDMI video outputs and Mini DisplayPort. It also has a 2.5 Bit / s Killer E3100 Ethernet jack and a USB-C Thunderbolt 4. The large AC adapter also connects from the back. The amount of ports is great and something I see missing with so many other laptops these days.
The MSI Raider has the following specifications:
• LED Ultramarine LED Screen (360 Hz) of 17 inches
• Intel Core I911980HK processor (as you know, this is the most upscale Intel processor)
• GPU GeForce RTX3080
• SSD 1 TO
• DDR4 32 GB
