Six brave Bayreuther lose scarce

It was the last bid that Bayreuth’s trainer Raoul Korner could send to the race at BG Göttingen. Due to injuries and corona infections, the Upper Franconia were only six players available – but these six sold in Lower Saxony expensive.

Bayreuth, who did without Center and Power Forward, had to be beaten only after extension – and also conceivable just at 91:92 (81:81, 43:49). The Overtime had still forced Sacar Anim with a buzzer’s beater for Bayreuth to 81:81, but in the extension it was Kamar Baldwin, who threw the Göttingen a second before the end to the victory.

Further on course, however, are the Telekom Basquets Bonn, who celebrated their next success for four days after their coup against Bayern Munich (96:61). At Hamburg Towers, the team of coach Tuomas Iisalo won 85:73 (43:33). It was the third victory in series for the Rhine countries where Parker Jackson-Cartwright was with 22 points Topscorer.
