DFB brings Steffen Simon as director public and fans
The DFB has committed the longtime WDR sports chief Steffen Simon as a new director public and fans. The 57-year-old journalist is to compete his new task as a successor to the Mirjam Berle left in June on 1 May. This decided by the DFB as part of an extraordinary presidium meeting on Wednesday.

Simon worked in the WDR for 19 years in a senior position and most recently serves as a program chief sport all linear and digital sports content, including the Bundesliga sports show in the first and sports show.de. He was the fible commentator of the ARD for 16 years and accompanied the national team in eight world and European championships.
